ABOUT

The Company

Radio Production

Iaro productions was established to bring new works of historical significance to radio. Galway based, we seek to engage with local actors to produce quality radio drama for a new audience.

In 2016 to celebrate the the centenary year of the 1916 rising we broadcast 'The Gifford Girls' on Galway bay FM. We were eager to give voice to the women of the rising in particular who were written out of history. Our first production 'Margaret of Coole' also dealt with the same tumultious period in irish history to tell the story of Margaret Gregory.

In January 2017 our production Michael Davitt: Our Land aired on Midwest Radio.

We are currently working on new projects which we hope will be aired on a radio station near you.
